New release 0.0.49 at
ftp.nvg.ntnu.no:/pub/vms/freevms (freevms-0_0_49.tgz and linker-0_0_45)
(Linker might not change each time)
Better buildinfo in HOWTO and FAQ, and use info in USE.
VMS I/O system can now do more than one device of one kind.
An ODS2 file image now can be used as a dfa0 device (still has to be mounted
by standing in its directory)
A single cluster disk can now be used as dua0 (use mount _file, where file
resides in /file on other node. This needs to be reimplemented soon)
Changes in copy utilities import (into ODS2) and copy (from ODS2); the old
copy has been renamed to export, while both have been combined into a new
copy which can copy from RMS to RMS (only on ODS2 for the moment).
(Copy is also tested under OpenVMS)
The UML ubd disk devices now can be seen as daa0.
The 386 ide disk devices partititons now can be seen as dqa0.
Dir and other on ext2 now works better.
ODS2 write-support seems to have gotten some problems.
RMS dir can not be done on ext2 root /.
Note (for CONFIG_VMS):
Short-term I/O and other plans:
(Same as before, wanted this time to give priority to I/O structures)
Let RMS also use Ext2 with write support.
Execute programs with execve and imgact on Ods-2.
Get more/better write-support in.
Do more SCA/SCS stuff.
At least look at whatever "device" uml uses and NE2000.
After some time even more driver support might be cut/broke (the most).
