(Still having a break from writing MM code while reading the new MM book)
news:
VMS PIDs (EPID/IPID)
RMS indexed file read (barely) with example program crec.
ODS-2 image ods2image.idx with indexed file.
System service $getjpi with example program getjpi; it show VMS and UNIX pids.
Notes:
The VMS PIDs are based on CSID (cluster system id), which is a bit random,
so both nodes may end up with the same CSID and PIDs sometimes.
The forcex example program must now be used with VMS PIDs if to be used
in a cluster (the Unix pids can be used on the local node).
(Highbit setting for cluster killing is not possible now).
Forcex must still be given decimal input.
(Clustering works only with uml; I had some problems with 2 ordinary boxes)
The crec program can only be used when ods2image.idx is mounted, and
the keys to be entered are q, s or v.
Bugfix:
Common event flags (and the example programs cef cefw) now work again.
