New release 0.0.9 at
ftp.nvg.ntnu.no:/pub/vms/freevms (freevms-0_0_9.tgz)
New features:
IPLs and other interrupt related stuff.
It is a starter, but I doubt this implementation will be permanent.
To see necessary changes and how this works and is implemented:
Do a diff with the previous tarred out tarfile or a
cvs diff -R -rREL_0_0_8 -rREL_0_0_9
We will need someone with keen eye for and high knowledge of CPU semantics to
finish IPLs etc, because we need to get synchronization correct on the
instruction level, or we will never get it stable.
Important concepts are atomicity/noninterruption, interlocking, stacks.
Also needed is implementing and finishing the following instructions:
INSQUE, REMQUE
ADAWI, BBCCI, BBSSI, INSQHI, INSQTI, REMQHI, REMTQI
PROBE
CHMx
REI
SWASTEN
SWPCTX, LDPCTX
