It ought to be someone here, since the person will need to know both Linux,
C, the stuff in linux/arch/i386/{kernel,lib,boot}/*.[sS] and VMS too.
Some assembly is also necessary with memory management.

You may have to do a cvs update.
The current code boots uniprocessor fine. (At least on one machine)
