I have no idea why it says so.
Newer descrip.h does not have those lines.

(Will be talking 32-bit "default")
Remember descriptors are passed as pointers, that is 32-bit.
If contents of descriptors are passed, it will be with the 16-bit length
in a 32-bit register (no problem there).

I have restructured things a bit and put what I have into
ftp.nvg.ntnu.no:/pub/vms/freevms/freevms.tgz

Some header files have also been "legalized".
(For example, descrip.h in str.tar-gz was copied from VMS itself)
