(I've been lurking here for a few days; I glad to see that at
least ONE of the Free VMS projects is still going.)

    FYI, check out the news:alt.sys.pdp10 newsgroup. They have two
software PDP-10 emulators running various levels of TOPS10/TOPS20
on pseudo DEC-10/DEC-10 configurations that run under many
forms of *nix, including Linux. And, one of them (TS10) is VERY
close to getting an emulated VAX up and running...
